Before their vows, Kristen and Jason had their pastor ask all of the guests, every last one, to come put their hands on the couple and pray for them and their new life together. I have no words for how special this was to witness or how hard it was not to put my cameras down and join in. These intimate moments and glimpses into the lives of the couples I spend time with are what really truly drives me in my work. Every moment from the start of the ceremony until the party really got going at the reception was absolutely giving clues on who exactly Jason and Kristen are together and as individuals, and I am so thankful to have seen their day.Read More
I am so thrilled to be introducing my new couples' session, the Adored Experience! It is far more than just a couples session and features deep connection through meaningful conversation and zero posing. Before each session we go through in depth planning conversations with each partner, so that I can be sure I customize the experience to perfectly reflect who you are as individuals and a couple.
Creating this experience has been so rewarding. I love the relationships I get to capture on wedding days but the connection created and documented in the Adored Experience is so much bigger. Without the posing, without the timelines, without the pressure of a big event, the moments created here are so relaxed and genuine, and I get to witness how deep the love between couples really grows over time. Whether you've been married for a week or a decade or fifty years, this session can be a wonderful experience and chance to connect on a brand new level.
I can't wait to see more love through the Adored Experience and am so happy to introduce this project to you all after several months of development and planning. It is unlike anything I've ever done but it's by far my favorite project, and I am so happy to finally be ready to share it with the world!
Tiffany and Terrance had a lovely February wedding reception at the Penn Center on St Helena Island. Their civil ceremony took place a few days before the full celebration, as a private moment with their children and Tiffany's grandmother who had become very ill and was going to pass away in the days before their wedding was scheduled. It was a bittersweet celebration as Tiffany was still mourning the deep loss, but also so joyful to celebrate their marriage and long life of loving one another. Their reception was full of love and fun with all of their family and friends, and some absolutely gorgeous details.Read More
"I knew for sure I wanted to marry Alexis after we had been dating for about a year and a couple months. It was during summer break and I had gone to visit her and her family over the weekend and as I was driving home I was thinking about how I was already missing her. I had already known that I loved her and would like to marry her but I think it just kind of hit me while I was driving that I knew for sure she was the one and that I wouldn't be able to live without her. I proceeded to call her just to hear her voice and tell her how much I loved her."Read More
