" I knew for sure I wanted to marry Alexis after we had been dating for about a year and a couple months. It was during summer break and I had gone to visit her and her family over the weekend and as I was driving home I was thinking about how I was already missing her. I had already known that I loved her and would like to marry her but I think it just kind of hit me while I was driving that I knew for sure she was the one and that I wouldn't be able to live without her. I proceeded to call her just to hear her voice and tell her how much I loved her."
This is what Wesley had to say about meeting the woman of his dreams. All the tears, am I right?
"I knew when we first met that Wesley was the most sincere person I've ever met. It made him easier to get to know. When I first meet someone, I am very shy and quiet. After 6 years with Wesley, this is no longer true. I'm sure there are times that he wishes that I would be a little more shy and quiet! I am most excited to be able to spend the rest of my life with someone who is not only the love of my life, but my best friend."
And this is what Alexis had to say about meeting and marrying Wesley. True romance, y'all.
One of my favorite things about engagement sessions is finding locations to shoot that are special to my couples. Alexis and Wesley met at RUF while both attending Clemson University, so when we were thinking about where we should do their engagement, campus was the most obvious choice. We also hiked through the botanical gardens to find where they had carved their initials into a tree way back when in 2011, which was just about the cutest thing I've ever seen at an engagement shoot. I'm so excited to shoot this couple's winter wedding! December feels so far away!
Alexis and Wesley, I am so excited to be part of your wedding and to cheer you both on as you prepare for your marriage. I can already see it is going to be one filled with many years of joy, cuddling, and laughter!
